Think of Yourself Properly
Several days ago, a picture about a cat attracted my attention: the cat was looking at himself in the mirror. But to my surprise, in the mirror there was a face of an imposing lion instead of that of a cat. The picture seems to tell the truth that you should think highly of yourself. However, I wonder if it's really true. In my point of view, the most important thing is to think of you properly.In the first place, thinking too highly of yourself, you will feel rather depressed when you cannot achieve the destination. Because you overrate your abilities, you will of course set goals far beyond you and try to achieve the goals ambitiously. It can be imagined that for most of the time, you cannot fulfill the task successfully. If you fail to gain your points nine out of ten, can you still be self-confident? If you suffer from the repeated failure for some time, can you still free from being depressed? The worse thing is that you will not recover from your setback.
In the second place, thinking too poorly of yourself, you will find it difficult to cultivate your own faculty. If you never find that in fact you are more capable than you believe, it's impossible for you to cultivate your potential faculty. You will think you are having nothing special. It's reasonable that you don't have some achievements; it's reasonable that you follow others when doing something; and it's reasonable that you taste failure repeatedly. You are satisfied with what you are, and don't think of being successful one day. In fact, you are wasting your capacity unconsciously.
In the third place, thinking of yourself properly, you will be rewarded all the time and feel hopeful every day. Thinking of yourself properly, you will have a thorough and correct understanding about what you can and what you can't. So you will set proper objective. Because you are very clear about your advantage and disadvantage, you will develop what you are good at and avoid what you cannot. In this way, success will not always beyond your reach. Being rewarded from time to time, life will be sunny every day.
If you are a cat, no matter you find a tiger or lion in the mirror, you cannot boast yourself the king of the animal world. The only thing you can do is to paw at a mouse. Seeing very clearly in the mirror that you are a cat, you will get clear that you are competent for catching a mouse rather than a goat or deer.
