第3次作業(yè)

It mainly talks about the qualities of happy people from paragraph 6 to paragraph 11. I can understand the most part of the passage though there are many new words during my reading. The author gives his own question and an answer in order to bring out his own opinion in passage 6. Then, the writer lists 4 traits and explains them in the following 4 paragraphs.

“I'm a lot of fun to be with”——I do not really understand why it's “am” not “have”. There is a lot of same meaning of “but”, the writer use “nevertheless” to take have place of the“but”. I should learn how to use English words which have the same meaning.

“——” always give the hint that the writer are going to explain in detail. I can throw the explaination away if I want to increase my speed during my reading.

The auther are really good at using questions to draw attention. After have talked about the 4 traits, the writer shows other opinion to expound “the causal arrows are uncertain”.
