摘 要
蔡大嫂是李劼人“大河小說”中的《死水微瀾》中的主要人物。她被喻為中國的包法利夫人，但她卻有著不同的性格特征。她任性要強，從小就表露出不安境遇的朦朧意識。獨立自由，不安本分是她的性格主調(diào)。她耽于幻想而又富于現(xiàn)實感，勇于追求又能主動掌握自己的命運。對人生采取的是立足現(xiàn)實、勇于追求而又可以妥協(xié)的態(tài)度。她的性格是隨著她的成長而1步步豐滿的。蔡大嫂這1形象經(jīng)歷了由別人奴隸——自己主人——別人保護神這樣1個轉(zhuǎn)變的過程，她的這種轉(zhuǎn)變反映了世道的“變”。這1形象的美學價值，就在于通過“人”表現(xiàn)了“史”，表現(xiàn)了當時的歷史風貌。也為我國現(xiàn)代文學史人物畫廊里增添了1個具有獨特美學價值的女性形象。

ABSTRACT
Aunt Cai is the major character in tiny billows novel of Ripples in the Stagnant Water. She was named Madam Baofali in China, but she has the different character characteristic . Her self-willed be anxious to outdo others , from childhood discomposed with regard to showing out circumstances dim moonlight is aware of. That independent liberty, dislikes acting selfs part is her character theme tune. She indulge in illusion and both and be full of real feeling, as well, have the courage to run after being able to grasp selfs destiny in ones own hands on selfs own initiative. Take be that the reality keeping a foothold, has the courage to run after but can compromise attitude to life. Her character is with her grow up but step-by-step liberality.
